Through the Ever Night

To talk about this book.. Well I could write another novel about it, to be honest, as there are so many things to speak of – all of them great, be assured. It was just as beautiful as the first one! The world as dangerous, the characters just as fleshed out, also it felt like there … Read more

On the Fence

That’s it, I found a book I want to live in!
For me this book was perfect: perfectly-awesome dynamics, perfectly-sweet romance and just a perfectly-bit of sadness to make up for the perfectly-amazing ‘giggleness’.
Yes, I am a also a ‘perfect’ dork in love with romantic stories, but what can I say? I just loved this story so very much!

Under The Never Sky

I really don’t know why it took me so long to get to this wonderful story. It’s incredible: unique, with fleshed out characters, with a confusing intrigue that only gets more interesting with each page, and a world built so wonderfully – half fantasy, half dystopia, a great mix that left me in awe. Well..

These Broken Stars

[spacer] One of my top favourite stories! [spacer] “These Broken Stars” reminds me why I love reading so much. How trilling it is to dive into a new story, a new world, new lives and new adventures that leave me breathless every time… Breathtaking – this story is indeed! I went into it blindly, not … Read more

Allegiant

Note: The review itself does not contain actual spoilers, but the feel of it and the graphics & media might spoil it for you quite a bit. Please don’t read it if you haven’t read the book yet.  To say that this book is my favourite in the series is an understatement. It took my breath … Read more

Scarlet

I need to give a very big thanks to Marissa for this wonderful story, as it made my ‘sick in bed’ day not only bearable, but quite great considering the situation… You really can’t imagine the immensity of addictiveness that comes with this story… I’d give a cyborg foot to have the next book now, LOL!

Cinder

Do you believe in love at first.. read? From time to time I like to read a fairytale – about princes (on white horses) and princesses (in their beautiful castles) and lost slippers and magical kisses that lead to happy endings. But don’t be fooled, as this is no fairytale.. Still this is one of … Read more

Champion

[spacer] This is one of the best conclusions to a series! [spacer] The very best. *wiping tears* Seriously! And it felt so ..right, you know? Not all butterflies and cheers and happiness, but right and real and beautiful and raw. The action, the suspense, the dramatic romance, the bittersweet ending… every moment and every page, every … Read more

Seeing Light

After all this time, I am still unsure if I will be able to make justice to this book, as it’s so amazing I can barely put my feelings into words. I will try though, hopefully my mind has cleared a bit of all this awesomeness and I can write down something more than “wow”, … Read more

World After

Angelfall has been one of my very favorite books in 2012 – the beautiful writing, the awesome characters and the engaging action made me ‘breathe in’ every word in the story and I couldn‘t put it down (not even for one second) until I reached the last page. The ending was dark and –now that … Read more

Pawn

[spacer] I am still a bit unsure about this one. [spacer] Dystopian stories can be a hit or a miss with me and this one falls somewhere in between. Overall, it was such a confusing story. The premise was really interesting and it started pretty well, but somehow (in all that confusion and the lack … Read more

Fangirl

This book scared me. There were so many quotes in it that seemed copy-pasted from my own life, like this was some sort of fan-fiction about myself. I saw myself in this girl even though we do different things, make bad decisions but in totally different scenarios.. really, it’s scary. Because you see, I still … Read more

Crash into You

You can’t imagine how long and desperately I’ve been waiting for this book. I liked Isaiah so much in the previous books and it broke my heart to see him suffer, so I was really-really eager to get my hands on his ‘happily ever after’ with the girl of his dreams.
… Turns out his dreams are my nightmares.

Indelible

From the wonderful cover to the interesting description and then to the original story-line, Indelible is a beautifully different book for fans of fantasy and not only. What started for Joy as an usual night out (meant to make her forget a bit about her problems) ended in a journey beyond her imagination; a journey to … Read more

Alienated

From time to time I fall in love with a cover – hard, instantly – and I never recover from it. You don’t know how much I just love the Alienated cover and how perfect it is for the story! The story: We’ve all imagine how it would feel like to be found by other … Read more

Wild Cards

[spacer] Also known as “Better Than Perfect” [spacer] So, Elkeles is back and so is my enjoinment for her books. I had this fear for a second, that I was becoming a bit too old for her stories, but on a second thought: how can one be too old to have fun, right? That’s impossible! … Read more

Legend: Collector’s Edition

Reading the first pages of this book about how this story came to be, about how Day came to exist, and peeking into Marie’s thoughts made me shiver a bit. Really! It must give her such a nostalgic feeling to look back at all those bumpy roads she had to take until her story came … Read more

The Distance Between Us

I am not much into rich vs poor stories. It’s that I don’t get them fully, I don’t understand the characters’ struggle and it’s hard to believe the resolutions presented. Still, some stories are meant to be fun, they offer a nice ride toward a happy ending and their only purpose is to entertain you. … Read more

Shades of Earth

As you know, Across the Universe is one of my favorite series, so I felt pretty sad to see it end. More when the cover has changed and it doesn’t fit the other 2 books *sigh* But this doesn’t mean that I enjoyed it less for that. It was still full of action, suspense and … Read more

Torched

This is how I ended up with this lovely story all wrapped around my soul: you know, it’s crazy because I never read what/when I’m supposed to; I let my heart pick the books to read all while my mind screams at me that I have no discipline… Well, let’s say there’s a lot of inside-shouting involved and we’ll leave it at that.

Haze

[spacer] One of the best sequels so far… [spacer] It’s been a while since the last time I was so lost into a story that I couldn’t put it down. It’s been quite a while since I first read the first book in the series too, but it didn’t feel like time has passed at … Read more

On The Jellicoe Road [re-read]

Reading (at least one of) Marchetta’s stories should be one of the “10 things to do in your lifetime”.
Seriously, this woman is one of the most creative people alive, one of the most amazing writers I came across and I wish I could put into words the actual awesomeness of this book, but I feel a bit at a loss for words – well, once again.

Time After Time

So this is how heroes are born… From the need to do something good with their abilities, from the pressure that comes from seeing what sorts of bad things happen to the people around them, from the need to rewrite a story that does not end happily… We met Bennett in Time Between Us. He … Read more

Time Between Us

If you are an avid reader you know that there are some books that call for you. Books that you see on the selves of some library or someplace on the Internet and they try to seduce you, they creep into your mind and you feel compelled to get them. I felt the same about … Read more

All Our Yesterdays

Oh my! This is what a true time travel story should be about! The suspense, the confusion, the puzzled pieces that start to fit together, the world building, the character development (both in the past and the future)… Should I really tell you how much I loved this story? It was absolutely AMAZING! It blew … Read more

Between These Lines

When I receive a book for review and I don’t like it, I am always a bit hesitant before writing down my thoughts for everyone to read. You see, there are books that work for many of us, books that work for some of us.. and books that simply doesn’t work for me no matter … Read more

The Spectacular Now

I like reading stories from guy’s perspective. Maybe because there are not too many out there, or maybe because it feels refreshing to stay away for a while from girl drama. Anyways I enjoyed reading this book as the main character was very likeable (even with his flaws) and his story seemed light even when it touched some heavy … Read more

Audrey, Wait!

I am afraid I won’t be able to make justice to the cuteness of this book or to put into words how amazingly fun this story has been, so I will leave the proof below for everyone to see it. Even my t-shirt was laughing-out-loud while I read this book: Oh well, I lied, I … Read more
